The VCOW Team

Liz Addison DVM and Debbie Pupa LVT combine over 50 years of caring for animals — from racehorses to wildlife rescue — and have come together in starting VCOW to offer the local community affordable mobile veterinary medicine.

Dr Liz has a background working in the UK horse racing industry, followed by vet school at the Royal Veterinary College, London. An 18-year resident of Palmyra, VA, since graduation from the RVC she has practiced both small and large animal veterinary medicine in the Fluvanna County area. She has worked with Debbie throughout, and together they share the understanding that there is a need for affordable basic good-practice care for our pet community.

Debbie LVT has been passionate about helping animals her entire life. As a young adult she founded a wildlife rehabilitation organisation. Throughout her 35 years of rehabbing she has helped thousands of orphaned and injured wildlife in Virginia. While working at a veterinary clinic she met Liz and formed an instant friendship. Together with Liz they desired to provide affordable and convenient medical veterinary care and formed VCOW.
